Abstract expressionist paintings are intended to convey artist emotions and subconscious inner world in a spontaneous burst of non-representational (non-"real life") gestural brushstrokes and mark-making. I use this style of abstraction to convey strong emotional and expressive content as an improvisational reflection of my psyche. My work is either frenetic, bold and contrasting (with an emphasis on dynamic, energetic gesture), moody, reflective contemplations on concentrated fields of color, or blended soft and watery abstract impressions. The interplay of colors and textures creates either impactful or soothing emotional statements. Thanks for viewing my art!
