These paintings all feature a geometric design intended to convey an impression of stained glass and evoke an emotional reaction or viewer experience similar to viewing stained glass. Colored art glass is my favorite art form, and the richness, fluid complexity and clarity of color achieved by glass artisans is both mesmerizing and awe inspiring to me. In these paintings I've tried to mimic some of the color clarity, contrast complexity, fluidity of movement and architectural or structural design achieved in art glass and stained glass windows by master craftsman. The fluid interplay of colors, marks and textures is designed to evoke the dramatic translucency of stained glass as a focal point. Thanks for viewing my artwork!
